Frequently Asked Questions
Your guide to the Solo Adventurers Club. If your question isn't answered here, please visit our Support page.
Our system simplifies D&D 5e by focusing on narrative. Instead of complex rules, you describe your actions, and the AI determines the outcome based on a simple d20 roll against a Difficulty Rating (DR). This keeps the story moving and lets you focus on your adventure, not on rulebooks.
Simply describe an action that would logically use your ability. For example, if you're an Elf with 'Eagle-eyed', you can say, 'I scan the forest for any signs of a hidden ambush.' The AI will recognize this and grant you an 'Advantage' on the roll, meaning you get to roll two dice and take the better result.
Failure doesn't stop the story! We use a 'fail forward' approach. A failed roll might introduce a new complication, a minor setback, or an unexpected twist. For example, failing to pick a lock might alert a guard, forcing you to think of a new plan. In combat, a critical failure could even lead to a story-based injury.
Progression is tied directly to the story. After completing significant story arcs or overcoming major challenges, the AI will grant you new abilities or improve your existing ones. New equipment is found organically through exploration, defeating powerful foes, or as rewards for completing quests.
The Solo Adventurers Club is designed for a single-player, narrative experience with our AI Dungeon Master. We do not currently support multiplayer or co-op adventures.
If the AI gets confused, try giving it a clear, out-of-character (OOC) instruction. For example: `(OOC: Please summarize the current situation and characters present.)` This usually helps reset its context. If the problem continues, please reach out to our support team.
